Talk of Christianity’s demise has been greatly exaggerated.

April 19th, 2009 | Category: Uncategorized

When people in the Western world, (ie. Any majority white country that’s spoiled and rich) think about Christianity, a lot of them think of a quaint, fairly dumb way of thinking that focuses on being nice and sexually frigid.

At worst, they think of it as a backwards, ignorant, dangerous impediment to progress. An enemy of reason and good will.

Because of this arrogance and indifference the Western world will reap the natural consequences of turning it’s back on God.

It’s happened before…the story of Noah’s Ark, the destruction of Sodom and Gommorah…

These examples are presented as God intervening in the story and purposefully bringing forth destruction as punishment…but I believe this is just a simple way to educate the early people about the natural consquence of sin.

Modern examples of nations turning their backs on God and implementing a ‘new order’ consist of Nazi Germany…

Germany rejected Christianity in favour of National Socialism. Hitler himself stated…

The best thing is to let Christianity die a natural death…. When understanding of the universe has become widespread… Christian doctrine will be convicted of absurdity…. Christianity has reached the peak of absurdity…. And that’s why someday its structure will collapse…. …the only way to get rid of Christianity is to allow it to die little by little…. Christianity the liar…. We’ll see to it that the Churches cannot spread abroad teachings in conflict with the interests of the State.

(Some atheists like to pretend that Hitler was Christian, but the evidence is obvious. If he ever stated anything to the contrary of the above quote, it was meant for public consumption and misleading in it’s effect…)

The consequence of Germany adopting National Socialism as a religion was evident around 1945. Total destruction. Congratulations. Very Progressive.

Another interesting point is that the above quote could be said by an average Canadian or American or European and the general public not only wouldn’t take offense…a lot of them would quietly agree.

The material success of the West has lead it down a path toward it’s own destruction. Religion is tough to maintain when life is good. The natural experience of the goodness of life pushes the demands of religion to the side. Less thought is given to important questions in life, because when we’re not grinding out work to maintain our prosperity, we spend the rest of our time being entertained by whatever crosses our path.

Religion, as a result, leaves us and the consquences of a life adrift slowly begin to rise to the surface.

Sometimes this is evident in individuals immediately, sometimes it takes generations. Sometimes states will collapse suddenly, sometimes it takes a century.

There is a matter of degree…

Nevertheless…Christianity tends to flourish in places in which it is desired.

Jesus didn’t enter towns that didn’t want him there…and that fact remains to this day.

As a result, Christianity in today’s world…despite liberals hope for collapse…is spreading like wildfire.

Some people are predicting China could become Christianized, within this century. Despite the Communist clampdown (or perhaps also, because of it) Christainity is booming!

Africa is half-Christian and growing rapidly.

Latin America has a nice contest going on between Catholic/Protestant.

Here’s a good link about this…

So in conclusion…Christianity is alive and well. It is still fighting the good fight in the West, and the centre of gravity is moving to the developing world quickly…

Don’t despair.

Alberta’s Wild Rose Alliance Party searching for a new leader!

April 19th, 2009 | Category: Uncategorized

The Wildrose Alliance Party is sort of the NDP-of-the-Right in Alberta.

Paul Hinman is the current leader, but he lost the party’s one seat during the last election and there are rumours that they need someone new.

http://www.calgaryherald.com/Business/Wildrose+Alliance+leader+future+being+debated/1510328/story.html

I met Paul Hinman during the last election. Seemed like a good guy. Pretty straight forward, but unpolished in the 21st century notion of the word.

It’s pretty hard to just be a good guy and do a good job and have a few good ideas these days…

Everyone wants an Obama.

Oh well…

I have a suggestion for a new leader…he has a lot of experience, he knows about the oil industry, and he’s not doing much right now….

I predict unemployment in U.S. and Canada will stop rising by July.

April 19th, 2009 | Category: Uncategorized

Unemployment has been rising for sometime now, and the experts seem to think there is no end in sight…

Just as the “inflation” rate is “negative”, I suspect the constantly revised upward unemployment rate is nearing the end.

April job loss will probably be drastically less than the 600,000 jobs lost in the U.S. in March and the 70,000 or so in Canada.

By May it’ll be dribbling toward an end and when July starts the numbers will stop.

Everyone will be like, “Wow! Thank goodness that’s over!”

“Way to go Obama!”

…and then…

The inflation starts rising…the unemployment stays the same…and we’re back to stagflation only this time…hyper.

I’ll check back in on this topic in July and do an update…
